Patricia’s Party at Guy Gunter

Written by Patti on September 9th, 2011

Good Morning Darlings!

Happy Friday!

My sweet friend, Patricia, threw the most killer party last night at Guy Gunter. Who is Guy Gunter? I didn’t know either until last night. They sell dream kitchens. OMG. I was dying. Everyone else was drinking, eating and dancing while I giggled and swooned over every Sub Zero refrigerator and Miele convection oven. I had to open every door and check out all the bells and whistles and bless their hearts, no one stopped me. The heart of their showroom is the demonstration kitchen (how have I never been here before???) which showcased the massive talents of handsome Chef Joe Truex (you know him from Repast and Watershed) and the darling Cynthia Graubart, who wrote the Southern Biscuits with Nathalie Dupree. Wait…there’s a Southern Biscuits Cookbook? Yes, my sweeties, there is. And I need a copy. Chef Cynthia was there making biscuits while Chef Joe whipped up shrimp bruschettas (from Sea Candy – don’t you love that name?)

Nothing is better than being able to visit with the chefs while they are cooking and I got to do just that with Chef Cynthia while she was whipping up the perfect biscuits. She is as nice as she is talented.

There were a ton of fun folks at the party, too. My bestie Lisa made the scene along with my friends Brandon from Bear Maker Bakery, Suchita, my most glam friend, Mr. Jay, Daniel, Shyni, Tim, Maryan, Melissa, Thomas and lots more. I had a swell time.

I loved all the huge vintage ads on the wall at Guy Gunter.

My buddy Patricia really outdid herself. This was one amazing party.

PT, thanks for the invite – I cannot wait to do it all again!
