Good Morning, Darlings!
From yesterday’s post you know that Sunday was fashion day. It ended with Victor’s fashion advice, but started with some lovely bags at a “Sip and See” hosted by my friend Tami at Talking With Tami. Tami always gives the most fun parties and since I had missed a few of them, I decided I could not miss this chance to see her at brunch, hosted by Parker’s On Ponce in Decatur.
We all gathered to fete Tami’s friend Lori, CEO of Mocha Moon, makers of lovely travel bags and totes. And you know I love a tote.
And brunch. How I love brunch. There were yummy mini quiches, luscious pastries and some of the most decadent whipped cream coffee I have ever had. Also super tempting was the sparkling pink lemonade (and if you know Tami, everything has to be pinktastic – and it was!)
As always, I met some of the most remarkable women. Dang, we have a lot of fab folk in Atlanta!
Not only are Lori’s bags beautiful, but there is a mission behind the beauty.
Mocha Moon’s strategy revolves around giving back and empowering others. One of the programs Mocha Moon is dedicated to supporting is Beauty and the Books. Beauty & Books Mocha Moon donates products, our talents and our time to help empower the community. We hand deliver our Cosmetic Couture bags filled with cosmetics and toiletries to women and teenage girls in battered women and homeless shelters. For small children we provide them with books and read to them aloud. We actively work with shelters to find out what their needs are and help to fill those needs.
How can you not want to support a cause like that?
And there was a drawing for the fab tote. Let’s see who won.
Why, it’s my friend, the always stylish Marian Anderson of Haute Travels!
I loved the way the tasty take-away cupcakes were adorned with pink and chocolate ribbon, just for Tami. You will hear more about these cupcakes on Friday(!)
Many thanks to Tami for hosting yet another pinktastic party in the private party room at Parker’s On Ponce. Loved it. And I loved meeting Jessica, Emma, Ursula, Lori, Natt, Sophia, Julian, Alicia, Rosalynn, Jayda and seeing my darlings, Lauren, Marian and Tami.
xoxo, Patti
