As you may have guessed, I am still recovering from the paella party. Still. My goodness.
Eric and I did make the time to sneak in a trip to the Dragon*Con Parade on Saturday, after a scrumptious brunch given by our friends, Carrie and Steven.
Today is a photo journey that I think you will really like. The parade just gets better every year.
One of the most exciting days in Atlanta
Cardboard Heroes
Super Girls
I have no idea what a lulz is...
Go Speed Racer, Go
Zombie Majorettes
Dr. Who
District 9
Look closely, the dragon is a bike
Who doesn't love Rainbow Brite?
Spooky baby doll. My favorite shot of the day.
Ghostbuster. After the Staypuft marshmallow man attack.
Beautiful Glinda, the Good Witch of the North.
From the looks of her friend, maybe she is off to play croquet?
The family that parades together....
Ninja Geishas!
Will the real Captain Kirk please stand up? Oh, wait, you are standing...
Donkey and Princess Fiona
Cardboard Princess Leia, after putting on her lipstick in the dark.
Storm Troopers
Catching up with the Storm Troopers.
Trading recipes with Gandolf.
Guess who was excited about the Percy the Platypus tees?
If you are ever in Atlanta on Labor Day, you must not miss this parade. It is essentially the kick off to Halloween. Yay, Halloween!
Can’t believe I missed this amazing opportunity to wear a costume. Craziness! I am definitely going next year.
I still wonder how those storm troopers make it through the parade in the heat. It must be 1,000 degrees in those things.
Pleeeeeezzzzzzzzzzzzzze be a Zombie Majorette with me next year!!!! 🙂 I think we could put a full team together!!! LOL
@Christy – apparently John and I are putting together a Zombie Majorette squad for next year. Would you like to join us?
@John, Love it! I’m in! xoox, P
I love Dragon Con!!! I usually make it but missed it this year! Looks like fun times!
