Anatomy of a Dinner Party: a day in the life of a hospitalityaholic

Young Augustine’s

Written by Patti on March 11th, 2010

Good Morning, Darlings!

Diving backwards a bit, this post is about last Friday night, when Eric and I met Crystal and Teague out at Young Augustine’s, a new pub in town.

Replacing The Standard is a new, fun bar with some really creative food.  My only issue with the space is that there seems to be less seating. But it’s cool. Check out the pirate chandelier!

They have a bevy of beers on tap that made the boys very happy. Eric was especially tickled to see Abita’s Andy Gator on tap.

The food was good, too.  I had the pork rillet, which came with gorgeous bread and pickled veggies.

Yummy Rillet

Crystal had the short rib grilled cheese, but there didn’t seem to be a lot of cheese on it. Teague opted for the oyster po’boy, which he liked and Eric ordered the Wrigley Dog and the Duck Fries. Everyone agreed the fries were tops. Super tasty.

This was fun night out with our best friends. Always a good time!

xoxo, Patti

I’m just happy to have a non-smoking bar in the ‘hood.
