I am plum full up from the weekend. Scores of tamales, Frangelico cake, cheese dip, guacamole, salsa, enchiladas, more chips. And a marathon of Being Human yesterday on the couch. Dang, that show is good.
Merry Christmas to you all. I hope Santa was very good to you. He is gifting me with the quietest morning so far, with just a light rain falling on the roof.
Last night Eric and I continued our tradition of Christmas Eve sushi at Gekko, where we dressed up and gorged on rolls, sushi and sashimi. It was divine. But first we made a stop at Green’s, where we stocked up on bubbly and beer for tonight’s dinner. It’s a small affair this year, but we are so grateful to be able to share our home with friends.
Hope you receive lots of festive aprons!
My menu is super simple and I think it would really translate well for a New Year’s Eve feast. I will share the details with you on Tuesday.
We have a guest today. I am so happy to welcome Patricia Hall, designer of lovely floral arrangements. Need some inspiration for your holiday table? Let Patricia give you some ideas.
Decorate the tree…check. Buy presents…check. Watch little Ralphie beg for a Red Ryder BB gun in A Christmas Story…check! Once you have taken care of everyone else for the holiday season, treat yourself to a classic film and some festive cocktails. Paying homage to this film are some tasty libations that will be perfect for that lazy snowy afternoon in front of the TV. And in case you didn’t know, TBS will be playing the movie continually from Christmas Eve to Christmas Day.
