Cocktails & A Christmas Story

Written by Patti on December 18th, 2011

Good Morning Darlings!

Decorate the tree…check. Buy presents…check. Watch little Ralphie beg for a Red Ryder BB gun in A Christmas Story…check! Once you have taken care of everyone else for the holiday season, treat yourself to a classic film and some festive cocktails. Paying homage to this film are some tasty libations that will be perfect for that lazy snowy afternoon in front of the TV. And in case you didn’t know, TBS will be playing the movie continually from Christmas Eve to Christmas Day.

Sweet Ralphie

2oz Russian Standard Vodka Original
1.5oz cranberry juice
1oz sour mix
Muddle cranberries and set aside. Add all the other ingredients to ice and shake thoroughly. Strain into a martini glass and top with muddled cranberries.

2oz CAMUS VSOP Elegance
1oz Irish Cream
Combine all ingredients into a glass with ice

You’ll Shoot Your Eye Out

Shake all ingredients thoroughly with ice and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with a raspberry.

Triple Dog Dare You

  4. As a child growing up every Christmas my mom would have us watch A Christmas story. We loved it and sometimes even watched it when it was not Christmas. I think it is funny that every year it is popular and stores are still selling its merchandise. The movie has become a Christmas classic. I have so many favorites it is hard to tell which one part I like best. I have conviced my husband to watch it with me this year.
Happy Holidays and thanks for your post!
