Anatomy of a Dinner Party: a day in the life of a hospitalityaholic

Jay and Valerie Get Married

Written by Patti on September 26th, 2011

Good Morning Darlings!

My dear friends Jay & Valerie got married on Thursday. My gift to them was to help coordinate their reception, which was held this past Saturday night.

It went off without a hitch. Except that Jay & Valerie got hitched…but you already know that.

The venue – an incredible rooftop space in Castleberry Hills. You could see all the landmarks from this swanky roof in downtown Atlanta – Coca-Cola, Georgia Dome, Kennesaw Mountain, the Westin. It was really gorgeous.

The wedding cupcakes – Vanessa Bonen at Sugar Bonen created the luscious vanilla cake/seven minute frosting cupcakes. They were glorious!

The caterer – Chef Richard Bradford and his amazing crew from RSB Catering bowled me over with their willingness to help with every detail. You all are fab!

The music – DJ Dave Chait provided the mix that kept everyone on their feet.

And now – the photos!

Miss Melanie and I pose in the lovely twilight.

Jay & Valerie. May I introduce Mr. & Mrs. Melton?

The love of my life and me.

Beautiful Ashley and Tiffany.

Sue & Dave enjoy the evening.

Catching up with my darlings Marcus and Shawn.

Jay, his lovely mom and Jay's college buddy, Gordon.

Travis & Staci are having a BALL!

Taruan and Chioke came in from NYC. Here, Taruan & Valerie stop for a hug!

The girls!

Chioke, Taruan & Justin.

Rick & Denise cut a rug.

Jay's folks take a spin on the dance floor.

It was a wonderful evening with the most wonderful people. Thanks, Jay & Valerie, for allowing me to be a part of your very special night.

xoxo, Patti
