Good Morning Darlings!
Secrets are the most fun. Well, when they are happy secrets. Like birthday surprises, raindrops on roses and brown paper packages tied up with string. Some of my favorite things!
My friends at Black Tie Barbecue keep the most fun secrets ever!
Wanna hear a secret?

Good Morning Darlings!
The summer is in full swing and our neighborhood (aka “The Cruise Ship”), has set sail. This means tons of parties, cookouts and drinking on various porches and backyards of all our friends.
It is almost as much fun as Christmas, but for a longer period of time and more heat.
Last weekend, we gathered together to celebrate Rick’s birthday.
The merriment begins inside

Good Morning Darlings!
I trust by now you have the turkey thawing (or have made arrangements – perhaps with Black Tie Barbecue for one of their mouthwatering smoked turkeys? Call 404.840.9256 to see if they have just one more they can put aside for you. This is what I am doing this year…shhhh, it’s just between us.)
They are not fooling around here, y’all!
I have more fun inside!

Good Morning, Darlings!
Saturday night we attended our third(!!) Secret Supper with Black Tie Barbecue. I am of the opinion that what they do is unlike any secret supper operation in town. The suppers are always at a fresh, fabulous, fun location and the food is incredible. Just when I think they cannot top themselves, they do.
The morning of the supper I received a call from Spencer with the location. This time to be held at Theatrical Outfit, a small, professional theatre downtown. A theatre! Eric and I were both theatre geeks in high school and college, so this was a special treat.

Good Morning, Darlings!
Last night we were tickled to be invited to the home of Spencer & Allison, co-owners of Black Tie Barbecue for an intimate get together with their fabulous, and recently engaged, friends, Joe and Lauren. You’d think Spencer and Allison would be exhausted from catering constantly, but no, they were up for a tasting party. A bruschetta tasting party. I love being a recipe guinea pig.

Good Morning, Darlings!
I know I have been a bit incommunicado lately, but I have been so darn busy! This weekend Eric and I kicked off Friday with a very quiet evening for just the two of us. Saturday was an up and at ’em kind of day busy with Sugar Coma, the first of many event-based soirees planned and executed by my friend, Shameeka, also known as The Broke Socialite, and the “Gail to her Oprah”, the adorable Denise. We had to be at the site by 8:30 a.m., and if you didn’t know, we are not really early riser types. But this was also Holly’s birthday, so it was well worth it. Chioke and Taruan picked us up by 8 a.m. and we were off. Sleepy, but on our way.
