Guest Post – Is The Dinner Party Dead?

Monday, March 14th, 2011

Good Morning Darlings!

I have a very special treat for you today!! Our guest blogger is none other than the simply charming Mary Kay Andrews, the author of the New York Times bestselling SAVANNAH BREEZE and BLUE CHRISTMAS, (HarperCollins) as well as HISSY FIT, LITTLE BITTY LIES and SAVANNAH BLUES. She and I were discussing the state of the dinner party on Facebook after someone had posted an article saying the art was dead. She and I disagree with the article and I asked if she would like to write a little something for my blog. Mary Kay was so very kind to write this post and I am thrilled to welcome her to Anatomy of a Dinner Party. Please put your hands together for Miss Mary Kay!

You must see what Miss Mary Kay has to say! Come on in!

Swooning for Swoozie’s

Wednesday, March 2nd, 2011

Good Morning Darlings!

Today is a very special day for me! I am so excited to let you know that Swoozie’s has chosen me to be one of their party experts in conjunction with their 10th birthday. And to celebrate, there will a party tonight at their 4285 Roswell Rd, Chastain Square, location from 6-8pm.

Please come out and give me a hug (free!) and shop (20% off!) and clink glasses with me over a cocktail (or two). I have selected 10 of Swoozie’s fabulous items for a themed party, which will be revealed tomorrow night. Let’s talk entertaining, celebrations or how to make every day a party for you and your favorites.

It would mean the world to me to see you there. Swoozie’s party treats are most posh way to throw a bash. And yes, I knew that even before they put a party princess tiara on my head.

Join me? It is going to be Swoozierific!

xoxo, Patti

The Reading Corner

Good Morning, Darlings!

Remember my post about Bookswim? Well, I dove in head first and am reading up a storm. And since cooking, dining and travel are my three favorite subjects, I picked books that reflect those interests. Here are the two I just finished.

Born Round – The Secret History of a Full-Time Eater, by Frank Bruni. (Special note: It looks as if the subtitle has been changed for the paperback edition).

Sit. Read with me inside.
