Good Morning Darlings!
Are you just waking up? Or are you at the breakfast nook with a cup of coffee?
I like to spend Saturday morning daydreaming. Some folks daydream in black & white. I daydream in Ritz-Carlton blue.
Some of my favorite memories of the past two years have been beyond the doors of some of the Southeast’s most gorgeous Ritz-Carltons. I’ve spent a late night in the kitchen with Chef Matt Murphy in New Orleans, drinking wine and filling up on extravagant cuisine, as everyone buzzed around us. Eric & I drowsed under the stars next to our casita in Cancun, after an afternoon of cooking classes in the most amazing teaching kitchen you can imagine. In Palm Beach I was so fortunate to receive a four handed facial in the world’s most gorgeous and self indulgent spa, the Eau Spa. Holly and I laughed until we couldn’t breathe while trying to navigate a canoe in Orlando and then spent an afternoon in the lazy river pool on a very special girls’ weekend. Showing bestie John the charms of club level in sparkling Amelia Island added to our years of memories together. A Segway lesson was crossed off our bucket list in Reynolds Plantation. Lumen, the lobby bar in The Ritz-Carlton Atlanta was the venue for an afternoon of fun with special friends Melanie & Vanessa, drinking bubbly and nibbling treats for Melanie’s birthday. I have met some amazing people during my visits and feel like the luckiest person in the world to call so many of them friends – Char, Rudy, Miss Judi, Valerie, Lisa, Hannah, David, Matt, Johnny, Dietrus, Joe, Paulina, Christine, Donald, Sandra, Alison, Adam, Jessica, Michelle (both of you!) to name just a few.
So it’s no surprise that this new ad campaign is close to my heart. The Ritz-Carlton is not just a hotel, it’s a place where magic happens.
The Ritz-Carlton will always stay with me.
If you have never been, the holidays are coming up. Wouldn’t a weekend away with a loved one make the perfect gift?
Why, yes, it would.
xoxo, Patti
Today blogging to Barbara Streisand – The Way We Were
That trip was the most fun – ever!
Although, technically, I guess they are a chain — they are so un-chain like. Each hotel is unique and reflects its location.
But what you can always count on — fantastic ambiance, gracious service, wonderful food and lots of fun. They are fancy, posh hotels but not snobby. The best combo.
It was fun because of you, my sweet Holly!

Lise,
I like to think of them as a collection of hotels. They are the gold standard, aren’t they?
