Good Morning Darlings!
Over 10 years ago, Eric and I said “I do” and then jetted off to honeymoon in Italy.
Ahh, Italy.
When my sweet friend, Lynnette, invited me to lunch at Davio’s, I knew I had found the spot. The spot that would transport me back to those sunny March days in Rome, Florence and Milan. A place where most of my memories are tied to the sense of taste.
The fresh lemon ricotta ravioli convinced me. The fact that a number of the staff are Ritz-Carlton alums cemented it for me.
Amy, the lovely Sales Manager and I put our heads together to devise a social media evening so others could experience the perfection that is Davio’s. Located in the renovated Niketown space at Phipps Plaza, the restaurant could have easily become a cacophonous cavern. Instead, it is a warm and glamorous respite from the outside world. Just ask the many celebrities who have recently graced its lovely dining room lately. I could name names, but that would be tacky.
Last Thursday afternoon, about 15 of us gathered to enjoy bubbly and some of Chef Bennett’s savory nibbles.
First to arrive, the always prompt Miss Lynnette.
I always enjoy catching up with Lynnette. She is the epitome of grace.
Soon after, my darling friend Tami from Talking With Tami arrived, looking fantastic with her adorable outfit and sparkly shoes. Dang, Miss Tami brings it everytime! My new friend Julia, aka Dr. Princess, came by and we had a swell time visiting. Julia is just darling and her blog is nifty, too. Check it out.
Time for a beverage. Visiting makes a girl thirsty!
If you visit on Thursdays, Davio’s has their lovely rose bubbly for just $5 per glass. Go visit Ida and Jerry and tell them I sent you.
Nibble time!
Oh, the spring rolls are next! These delicious tidbits are the signature appetizer at Davio’s. Filled with creative items like buffalo chicken, Philly cheese steak and chicken parmesan, these are sure to please any palate.
More friends!
Tweeting and visiting abounded!
My friends Melanie of Capitol de Beaute and her sister, Vanessa, of Bonen Bonnets were on hand to lend beauty and joy to the occasion, too.
Miss Patricia Tinsley was there, as was the dear Lauren Thomas. Somehow, a few folks escaped having their photos snapped.
More food!
I would say the evening was a raging success. Everyone left very impressed with Davio’s.
Oh, and on Sunday they serve family style dinner for just $20. What a delicious way to wrap up the weekend, yes?
Many thanks to everyone at Davio’s – Amy, Paul, Claude, Ida and Jerry. We had a marvelous time!
xoxo, Patti
