Guest Post – A Twist on Blueberry Pie!

Good Morning Darlings,

I am so happy to hand the reins over today to my dear friend and business partner, Carrie. She is an incredible cook and can whip up a party in a moment’s notice. It’s truly fabulous to behold.

Southern Living Magazine is one of our favorites, so when they asked if I would pick something to try from their newest issue, I was just dying over the pie on the cover.  Carrie picked up the ball and ran with it…here’s her story. Enjoy!

Take it away, Carrie!

The 3 Cs – Clint, Carrie and Castleberry

Tuesday, May 25th, 2010

Good Morning, Darlings!

Last week we received an invitation to join the cool folks in Castleberry for tapas and paella.  I love all the people in Castleberry and their fabulous loft culture – so urbane!  My bestie Clint is part of the clique, so we were thrilled to have snagged an invite for Tapas & Sangria at Clint’s and then to Carrie & Steven’s for paella (just a short stroll across the street!)

Joining us were Steve & Calvin (another C!), Tracy and Stephanie.  The nine of us had a grand time. Starting at Clint’s with both red & white sangria and a number of tapas. Ranging from tiny bites (olives and almonds), to more substantive fare (cheese stuffed, bacon wrapped dates & taquitos) it was hard not to get filled up on all the yummy tidbits.

Clint’s loft has just been repainted the most gorgeous combination of pale green and grey, making it even more chic than before.  More colorful than the paint? Clint and his neighbors.

Lofty Aspirations

Good Morning, Darlings!

Eric and I were most fortunate to be invited by our sweet Clint to a party at his swell friends Calvin and Steve’s loft in Castleberry Hill last night.  This loft was really something and I can’t wait to share the photos with you. Everything in the loft was huge – the Christmas tree, the disco ball, the giant nutcracker – all remarkable.  But I do believe my favorite spot was the section of First Class airline seating in their foyer – who has a foyer big enough for a section of an airplane???  Why, Calvin and Steve, that’s who!  Take a look:
