HUDSON NORTH POP-UP RESTAURANT HEADS EAST FOR TWO NIGHTS
Farm-To-Tavern Pop-Up Restaurant Teams Up With Chef Eli Kirshtein For Special Two-Night Izakaya-Inspired Menu Takeover
Friday, November 30th and Saturday, December 1, 2012

Hudson North, a new pop-up restaurant concept located in Atlantic Station, is teaming up with former Bravo “Top Chef” contestant and local celebrity chef, Eli Kirshtein, for a special two-night-only restaurant takeover. Drawing on the traditional Izakaya concept, a casual drinking establishment that also serves food, Eli Kirshtein has curated an inspired menu that celebrates Japanese techniques but focuses on basic flavors, local ingredients and a casual vibe. This isn’t your traditional Izakaya fare; expect a laid-back interpretation of the concept featuring small plates and a curated sake list and cocktail menu.

The four sections of Kirshstein’s menu (raw bar, cold plates, crispy, and dishes from the stove) include traditional offerings with a twist, like chicken, pork and lamb skewers, sashimi options and fresh seafood dishes with crab, oysters and clams. Of course, what would an Izakaya be without some sake? Hudson North has teamed up with the historic Yamamoto Honke Brewery to curate a sake list especially for the two-night takeover of Hudson North. The sake curious can opt to experience a handcrafted sake cocktails from Hudson North’s specially designed drink menu, while the more experienced lovers of the rice wine can experiment and pair varieties like the Devils Killer (a.k.a. Four Eyes), Mizuno Shirabe (Ginjo), and Yuzu Omoi. The menu will be available for two nights only beginning at 5 p.m. on November 30th and December 1st. Reservations are required.
