Skating Through The Holidays

Written by Patti on November 11th, 2011

Good Morning Darlings!

It’s almost Thanksgiving and then you have to get ready for the onslaught of parties and family gatherings in December.

Wouldn’t it be nice to indulge in some YOU time with no guilt involved?

Why not ice skating? You burn calories, get to hold hands with that special someone, and you can wear tons of sparkles and sequins and no one says a word!

For all you city cats, The Rink at Park Tavern, a seasonal ice skating rink located in the heart of Midtown in Piedmont Park, will return for its second year just in time for the holidays. Beginning Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 24, 2011 through Valentine’s Day, Tuesday, February 14, 2012, Atlantans and visitors of all ages can once again enjoy unforgettable ice skating experiences while taking advantage of Park Tavern’s relaxed atmosphere, expansive food menu, and diverse cocktail, wine, and beer selection. With more than 28,000 people hitting the ice last year at The Rink, Park Tavern owner Paul Smith has added more skate sessions for the 2011/2012 season. Cost is just $15 to skate and includes high quality rental skates. Visit www.parktavern.com for more information or to make reservations.

Skating while enjoying our city's gorgeous skyline. And there's beer!

For my little country mice (and those who just need a break from the city), the only place to go is The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds Plantation. Here’s a scrumptious package just for you!

Valid November 23, 2011 through February 14, 2012
Starting at $289 USD per night

*Overnight accommodations in a Resort View Guestroom
*Unlimited ice skating
*Valet parking for one vehicle per night
*S’mores turndown amenity
*$100 food and beverage credit per day

Did I mention that the ice skating rink at Reynolds Plantation is 6,000 square feet? You never have to worry about falling on anyone!

Now, where did I put my little sparkly skating outfit?

xoxo, Patti
