Anatomy of a Dinner Party: a day in the life of a hospitalityaholic

Peas on Earth

Written by Patti on July 28th, 2010

Good Morning, Darlings!

My dear friend, Christy, is really changing lives, one pea at a time. With her organization, Peas For Prosperity, not only is she creating the sweetest jewelry (made with black eyed peas), but she is employing the homeless. In my eyes, she is a true saint.

Miller Jackson and her staff at The Mansion on Peachtree have also taken note and feted her last week with a fabulous party in her honor.

The event was delightful. Special “Peatini” cocktails were formulated for the event and the incredible chef offered pea-themed appetizers. Among the nibbles were black-eyed pea hummus served with grilled bread and black-eyed pea fritters. It was all delicious. My friend Terri and I (fresh from lunch at Three Sisters Vineyard), enjoyed the soiree.

There’s always time to catch up with old friends.

And to meet new ones.

It really was a fabulous evening. I especially enjoyed meeting Luigi Romaniello, the elegant Managing Director of The Mansion and sweet concierge, Barry, who I hope to be pairing up with soon for some fun projects.

Hop on over to The Mansion for some pre-dinner cocktails before slipping out to Craft for supper. A more glamorous night cannot be found in Atlanta.

xoxo, Patti
